Elenoire Casalegno on motherhood, Rai shows and personal life

Italian presenter Elenoire Casalegno will host the prime‑time show "La notte dei Fiori" on Rai 1 on 29 August alongside Nicola Savino and will later front the music‑review programme "Formidabile" on Rai 2 from 12 October. She will also present a daily slot on Radio 2 at 18:30.

In a lengthy interview she recalled her three‑decade TV career, her early mentorship by Raimondo Vianello, and the influence of her parents. She spoke about her 27‑year‑old daughter Swami, whom she had at 23 with DJ Ringo, stressing that she tells her daughter to choose what makes her happy. Casalegno argued that motherhood does not automatically make a woman better, saying, "Una donna non è meno completa se decide di non avere figli," and criticized the societal pressure to have children after marriage.

She also revisited a brief 1990s relationship with art‑critic Vittorio Sgarbi, her 2014 marriage to Rete 4 director Sebastiano Lombardi and its subsequent divorce three years later.
