California bear enters parked SUV in residential area

A bear entered a parked SUV in a California residential neighborhood, causing a startling encounter for the vehicle owners. The incident highlights a growing trend of bears entering populated areas in search of food.

Wildlife authorities in California note that approximately 30,000 black bears live in the state, many of which reside near human settlements. Experts advise residents to keep vehicles locked and avoid leaving food visible to prevent similar encounters. The increasing frequency of these interactions is attributed to drought and diminishing natural food sources.
