Elephant herd enters Dumri block in Jharkhand

A herd of approximately 25 wild elephants has entered the Dumri block area in Jharkhand. According to the Forest Department, the herd moved through the Chaudharyband area of Bagodar block late Thursday night before reaching the Badki Bergi Panchayat in Dumri.

The presence of the large herd near populated areas has caused panic among local residents. The Forest Department and local administration have issued an alert, advising villagers to remain vigilant, stay away from the elephants, and avoid gathering crowds or attempting to provoke the animals.

Forest Department teams are currently monitoring the movement of the herd to prevent potential loss of life or property and to guide the elephants away from human settlements safely.
