Elephant Hill winery assets placed on market in Hawke's Bay
The assets of Elephant Hill, a prominent winery in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, have been placed on the market. The sale, managed by Colliers, includes the winery, cellar door, restaurant, luxury lodge, vineyards, business assets, intellectual property, and wine inventory.
Prospective buyers can acquire the portfolio as a going concern or purchase individual assets. The vineyard holdings span several locations, including Te Awanga, Gimblett Gravels, and Bridge Pa. Colliers noted that the brand could be decoupled from the physical property, allowing the intellectual property and inventory to operate from alternative facilities.
The sale comes amid broader economic challenges in the New Zealand wine industry, including concerns regarding oversupply and the long-term recovery from Cyclone Gabrielle, which caused significant damage to the Hawke’s Bay region in recent years.
