Elfershausen car rollover caused by deer avoidance

A 24-year-old driver sustained minor injuries in Elfershausen, located in the Bad Kissingen district, after a vehicle rollover on Monday morning. The incident occurred on Langendorfer Straße while the driver was traveling from Elfershausen toward Langendorf.

According to reports, a deer crossed the roadway, prompting the driver to attempt an evasive maneuver. While the driver avoided direct contact with the animal, the vehicle veered off the road, struck a pole, and overturned. The impact caused the pole to break and fall near the roadway. Total damages are estimated at approximately 10,000 euros.

Local police have used the incident to remind motorists of the dangers of wildlife on rural roads, particularly in areas marked with wildlife crossing signs. Authorities advise drivers to maintain appropriate speeds and caution, noting that uncontrolled swerving to avoid animals can often lead to more severe accidents.
