ELFİ Gayrimenkul warns of fake real‑estate ads on social media in Turkey

ELFİ Gayrimekan Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Özkan Aydemir announced the opening of the company's fourth branch in Nilüfer, Bursa, and highlighted the role of the Electronic Listing Verification System (EİDS) in curbing fraudulent rental and sale advertisements.

Aydemir said the EİDS system now blocks the posting of counterfeit listings, but cautioned citizens that unlicensed individuals continue to market properties via social‑media platforms. He urged people to verify that advertisers hold proper authorisation and to lodge complaints with the relevant ministries when encountering suspicious ads. The Bursa Trade and Industry Chamber also attended the opening ceremony and expressed support for the initiative.

The statements underline a broader push in Turkey’s real‑estate sector to improve consumer protection and increase the transparency of online property transactions.
