Elgiganten announces major retail expansion in Östersund

Elgiganten is launching a major expansion in Östersund, Sweden, with the simultaneous reopening of two updated locations on September 18. The initiative includes a fully renovated department store at Hagvägen 1B and a refurbished Phonehouse store on Prästgatan 47.

The Hagvägen location features a complete interior redesign and introduces two new specialized departments: a dedicated gaming area equipped with the latest hardware and accessories, and a kitchen section showcasing the Epoq kitchen series.

According to acting CEO Mark Hammarberg, this represents one of the company’s largest investments of the year, aimed at enhancing the shopping experience and increasing accessibility for customers in the Östersund region.
