Eli Lilly announces strategic partnerships in drug delivery and manufacturing

Eli Lilly and Company has entered into two significant strategic collaborations within the pharmaceutical sector.

In Abu Dhabi, Eli Lilly and Mubadala Bio have partnered to advance the localized packaging and logistics of Lilly’s GLP-1 medicines. This collaboration aims to strengthen Abu Dhabi’s life sciences ecosystem through a 125,000 sqm site in KEZAD, which will feature advanced packaging and warehousing facilities to serve global industry partners.

Separately, Eli Lilly has entered a collaboration with METiS TechBio to develop next-generation, tissue-specific lipid nanoparticle (LNP) delivery technologies. The agreement, valued at up to approximately $1.1 billion including milestone payments and royalties, utilizes METiS’s AI-driven lipid discovery platform to enhance drug delivery capabilities.
