Eli Lilly expands research in dermatology and psychedelics
Eli Lilly has released new clinical data from its Phase 3b TOGETHER-PsO study, demonstrating that the combined administration of Taltz and Zepbound produces broader biomarker changes in adult patients with psoriasis and obesity or overweight compared to Taltz alone. Previous results indicated superior skin clearance and clinically significant weight reduction that remained stable or improved over 52 weeks.
The company is also expanding its pipeline through strategic moves, including an expanded research and licensing agreement with Gate Bioscience valued at over $870 million to develop drugs targeting disease-causing proteins. Additionally, the FDA recently approved an additional application for the cancer medication Jaypirca for previously untreated adults with chronic lymphocytic leukemia or small lymphocytic lymphoma.
In the field of psychedelic medicine, Eli Lilly's recent acquisition of Atai Beckley for up to $3.8 billion underscores its involvement in the sector, alongside other industry players like Compass Pathways.
