Eli Manning to root for nephew Arch Manning over Ole Miss
Former Ole Miss quarterback Eli Manning has stated he will temporarily prioritize rooting for his nephew, Arch Manning, over his alma mater during Arch's college career. Manning addressed the situation on the program ‘Pardon My Take’, noting that while he is ‘100 percent’ an Ole Miss supporter, he will root for his nephew to win every game for the remainder of his time in college.
The upcoming matchup between No. 9 Ole Miss and No. 1 Texas on October 24 serves as a primary example of this family dynamic. Arch Manning, the son of Cooper Manning, is the starting quarterback for the Texas Longhorns. Eli Manning noted that he has known Arch since birth and has personally coached him, stating, ‘You root for family in these scenarios.’
Manning clarified that his support for Texas is strictly limited to his nephew's tenure. Once Arch's college career concludes, Manning intends to return to his full support for Ole Miss.
