Eli Roth’s The Horror Section expands genre film lineup

Eli Roth’s new production banner, The Horror Section, is expanding its catalog of high-intensity genre cinema. Following the release of the ultra-violent splatter film ‘Ice Cream Man’, the studio is preparing to release ‘Jimmy and Stiggs’ to home audiences.

‘Ice Cream Man’ features Ari Millen as a dessert vendor whose products trigger a violent frenzy among local children. The production utilized practical gore effects from veterans such as Adrien Morot and includes musical contributions from Snoop Dogg.

‘Jimmy and Stiggs’ follows the story of an unemployed filmmaker named Jimmy Lang who, amidst a struggle with substance abuse, believes he has been abducted by aliens. He enlists his friend Stiggs to prepare for a potential extraterrestrial attack. The film is noted for its grindhouse-inspired aesthetic and aims to appeal to fans of extreme splatter and trash cinema.
