Elia Suleiman discusses worldview at Athens Palestinian Film Festival

Palestinian filmmaker Elia Suleiman is in Athens as a guest of the Athens Palestinian Film Festival, which runs from October 15 to October 31, 2026. In an interview with ERT News, Suleiman discussed his evolving perspective on the world.

Reflecting on the current global climate, Suleiman expressed a somber view, citing author John Berger to describe seeing the world through “an eye scarred by wounds.” He also touched upon the cinematic use of silence and music as essential languages for expressing complex emotions and realities that words alone may struggle to convey.
