Elias Ranefur advances in Europe Smash table tennis tournament

Swedish table tennis player Elias Ranefur has advanced through the early rounds of the Europe Smash tournament in Malmö. Entering the competition as a wildcard, the 30-year-old, world-ranked 64th, secured a significant 3–2 victory over 12th-ranked Ruibo Wen in the round of 16.

Following his initial upset, Ranefur faced Tomislav Pucar of Croatia in the round of 16. The match was a highly competitive encounter that went to a deciding set. Ranefur utilized tactical adjustments and aggressive serving to navigate the match against Pucar, who had previously upset world number one Jang Woojin.
