Elif Sanchez releases new single ‘Campanera’ with Joan Arto

Grammy-nominated artist Elif Sanchez has released a new single titled ‘Campanera’, a classical pasadoble recorded in collaboration with Spanish guitarist Joan Arto. The track is a modern reimagining of a famous 1953 Spanish copla.

The collaboration began after Arto reached out to Sanchez via social media. The two musicians initially worked on the project remotely before meeting in person in Mallorca to complete the recording. The track features arrangements and guitar by Arto, with percussion provided by Benji Habichuela.

Sanchez, a graduate of the Istanbul State Conservatory and Berklee College of Music, follows the recognition of her album ‘Así pues…’ as a nominee in the ‘Best Global Music Album’ category. She is scheduled to perform a concert at CSO Ada Ankara on November 29.
