Elijah Wood and Sean Astin headline Comic-Con Málaga

The San Diego Comic-Con Málaga is holding its third day of events at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga (FYCMA). A major highlight of the convention is the appearance of Elijah Wood and Sean Astin, the actors who portrayed Frodo and Sam in ‘The Lord of the Rings’ trilogy. This marks the first time both actors have appeared together at such an event in Spain, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the film saga.

The actors are scheduled to participate in official panels, autograph sessions, and photo opportunities, with appearances also planned for the closing day on Sunday. Other scheduled guests include Kristian Nairn from ‘Game of Thrones’ and Richard Dean Anderson from ‘MacGyver’.

In addition to film stars, the convention features content from Marvel, including an exclusive preview of the upcoming series ‘Vision Quest’ in a dedicated Disney space. The event also highlights Japanese animation, featuring director Shinichiro Watanabe, known for ‘Cowboy Bebop’ and ‘Samurai Champloo’. This edition of the convention has expanded its exhibition space and expects a total of 90,000 attendees over its duration.
