NK Čelik Zenica defeats FK Velež 3-0 behind Mašić hat-trick

NK Čelik Zenica secured their first victory of the season in the WWin league of Bosnia and Herzegovina, defeating FK Velež Mostar 3-0 at Bilino Polje. The match, attended by approximately 6,500 to 7,000 spectators, was defined by a hat-trick from Anes Mašić.

Mašić scored his first goal in the 28th minute via a long-range free kick, his second in the 43rd minute following an assist from Faruk Gogić, and completed his hat-trick in the 62nd minute with another assist from Gogić. This performance places Mašić at the top of the league's scoring charts with four goals this season.

Čelik coach Bojan Regoje expressed satisfaction with the team's ability to perform under pressure and capitalize on opportunities, noting that the win provides significant relief after three consecutive losses. Conversely, Velež coach Ibro Rahimić criticized his team's defensive errors, which allowed Čelik to dominate the match. The victory marks Čelik's first top-flight win since November 2019.
