Elisa Cosetti and Andrea Barnabà find strength in partnership through cliff diving

Italian cliff divers Elisa Cosetti and Andrea Barnabà have developed a professional and personal partnership that helps them navigate the extreme risks of their sport. Training in Polignano a Mare, the pair has known each other for approximately ten years, evolving from acquaintances in different diving clubs to teammates and partners.

Cliff diving involves jumping from heights of up to 27 meters, reaching impact speeds of approximately 90 kilometers per hour. The athletes face significant physical risks, with Barnabà noting that a single error in entry can lead to severe consequences. Barnabà credits Cosetti’s presence and emotional support as a crucial factor in managing the fear inherent in the sport, stating that her support helps him regain composure before a dive.
