Elisa Donovan reflects on Brittany Murphy’s death

Actress Elisa Donovan has reflected on the 2009 death of her ‘Clueless’ co-star Brittany Murphy, stating she was not surprised by the news due to previous concerns regarding Murphy’s well-being.

Speaking on the ‘Still Here Hollywood’ podcast, Donovan recalled noticing physical signs of distress during their last encounter at the 2005 GLAAD Media Awards, noting that Murphy appeared physically unwell with shaking legs and buckling knees. Donovan also mentioned that a shared hairstylist had privately expressed worries about Murphy’s condition.

Murphy passed away at age 32 in December 2009 at her home in Hollywood Hills. The Los Angeles County coroner ruled the death accidental, citing a combination of pneumonia, anemia, and multiple drug intoxication.
