Casellati addressed gender alternation, emphasizing that political parties bear the responsibility for how they position women within electoral districts to ensure meaningful representation. Regarding legal scrutiny, she asserted that the new law was constructed within the framework of the Constitution and the Constitutional Court's rulings. She noted that while the Court had discussed a 40% threshold, the current proposal has raised this requirement to 42% to ensure compliance.
