Eliya Cohen and Ziv Abud marry after hostage release

Former hostage Eliya Cohen and his partner Ziv Abud recently celebrated their wedding following Cohen’s release after 505 days in captivity within Hamas tunnels. The couple was separated during the October 7 massacre, a period during which Cohen believed Abud had been killed in a fortified shelter.

Following their reunion, the couple has worked to rebuild their relationship and shared life. They have also completed a joint book titled ‘Ayesha – Building a Home Together From the Ruins’, which is set to be published by Yedioth Books. The work combines Abud’s efforts to secure Cohen’s release with Cohen’s personal memories of his time in captivity.
