Eliya Cohen and Ziv Abud marry following Hamas captivity

Eliya Cohen, a former hostage held by Hamas for 505 days, married his longtime partner Ziv Abud in a ceremony at Ronit Farm in Israel. The wedding was attended by approximately 1,000 guests.

The couple was separated during the October 7, 2023, attack on the Nova Music Festival. While Cohen was abducted and taken to Gaza, where he endured torture and deprivation, Abud survived the attack by hiding among bodies in a roadside shelter.

Cohen was released in February 2025 as part of a ceasefire agreement. The wedding ceremony featured a performance by Israeli singer-songwriter Amir Benayoun, who escorted the couple to the wedding canopy.
