Eliyan raises $145 million for optical interconnects in AI data centers

Silicon Valley‑based startup Eliyan announced a $145 million Series C financing round that brings its valuation to $1 billion. The capital will be used to advance its electro‑optical interconnect technology, marketed under the NuLink PHY and NuGear chiplet families. These components are designed to boost bandwidth and energy efficiency in large AI compute clusters, addressing the throttling that occurs when existing interconnects and power designs cannot keep up with growing accelerator counts. By improving data‑center connectivity, Eliyan aims to reduce performance bottlenecks that slow AI training and inference workloads.

The round was reported in both English and German press releases, noting Eliyan’s presence in Silicon Valley and a London office, underscoring its ambition to serve global AI‑focused data‑center operators.
