Elizabeth Hurley joins Peacock series ‘The ‘Burbs’ for season 2

Elizabeth Hurley has joined the cast of Peacock’s mystery comedy series ‘The ‘Burbs’ as a series regular for its second season. She will portray Beverly Fisher, the mother of Rob Fisher, a character played by Jack Whitehall.

Inspired by the 1989 horror-comedy film, the series is set in contemporary suburbia and follows a young couple whose lives are disrupted by the arrival of a new neighbor and the uncovering of neighborhood secrets. While specific plot details for the second season remain confidential, the production will see the return of several original cast members, including Keke Palmer, Julia Duffy, Paula Pell, Mark Proksch, and Kapil Talwalkar.

The series is created by showrunner and executive producer Celeste Hughey, with additional executive production from Seth MacFarlane, Erica Huggins, and Aimee Carlson for Fuzzy Door, as well as Brian Grazer and Jeb Brody for Imagine Entertainment.
