Elizabeth I: From illegitimate child to English Queen

The life of Elizabeth I was marked by significant early instability following the execution of her mother, Anne Boleyn, in 1536. After her mother's death, Elizabeth was declared illegitimate and stripped of her title as princess, being referred to as Lady Elizabeth.

Despite the precarious nature of the Tudor court and the birth of her half-brother Edward, Elizabeth received an extensive education in Latin, Greek, French, and Italian, as well as history, theology, and philosophy. She navigated a volatile political environment, including the execution of her father's fifth wife, Catherine Howard, before eventually ascending to the English throne at age 25.
