Elizabeth Velasco leads Republican challenger in campaign funding

Democratic incumbent Representative Elizabeth Velasco is leading Republican challenger Russ Andrews in both fundraising and spending for the upcoming November election in Colorado House District 57.

According to reports filed with the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office for the period ending September 30, Velasco has raised approximately $67,000 and spent about $38,300. In contrast, Andrews has raised roughly $18,800 and spent just over $14,700.

Velasco, a Democrat from Glenwood Springs, received contributions from individual donors and various political action committees, including the Voces Unidas Political Action Committee. Her campaign expenditures have primarily focused on consultants and professional services, such as the fundraising platform ActBlue and the email distribution service Mailchimp.
