Elize Matsunaga's Murder SUV Sold in São Paulo as Film Debuts
In 2012, Elize Matsunaga murdered and dismembered her husband, Marcos Kitano Matsunaga, an heir to the Yoki food company, and used a Mitsubishi Pajero TR4 to transport body parts over 200 km to Cotia, São Paulo. The case has inspired numerous media productions, and a new Netflix film, "Elize: Sombras de Uma Mulher," was released recently.
The Pajero, originally a gift to Elize when the couple were dating, was later stored in the condominium where the crime occurred. After years in a garage, the vehicle was sold by a used‑car dealer in 2023, changed owners twice, and is now registered in São Caetano do Sul, ABC Paulista. It remains legally licensed but carries R$ 665 in recent traffic fines for offenses such as phone use while driving and speeding.
