Željka Cvijanović attends memorial at Novi Zejtinlik cemetery
A memorial service and wreath-laying ceremony were held at the Novi Zejtinlik Serbian military cemetery in Sokolac to mark the patron saint's day (slava) of the Association of War Disabled of Republika Srpska.
Željka Cvijanović, the Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, laid a wreath and emphasized that the cemetery serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made for the freedom of Republika Srpska. She stated that institutions must continuously work to improve the status of war disabled veterans and urged Serbs to remain united around these sacrifices.
The Novi Zejtinlik cemetery, established following the Dayton Agreement, is the resting place for more than 960 Serbian fighters. The ceremony included representatives from the Association of War Disabled, families of fallen fighters from Vojvodina, and local officials from Sokolac and East Sarajevo.
