Ella Junnila finishes tenth in European Championship high jump final

Finnish high jumper Ella Junnila finished tenth in the European Championships final in Birmingham with a height of 188 cm. After facing challenges during the qualifying rounds regarding her approach run, Junnila noted that her run felt smooth and had good momentum during the final.

Junnila expressed satisfaction with her performance and her ongoing collaboration with coach Tia Hellebaut. Despite having worked together for only one somewhat fragmented training season, Junnila stated that reaching this level of competition is a positive sign for the future. The gold medal was won by Yaroslava Mahuchikh of Ukraine with a height of 197 cm.
