Ella Langley makes Billboard history with 20 weeks at No. 1

Ella Langley’s single “Choosin’ Texas” has made history on the Billboard Hot 100, marking its 20th week at number one. This achievement makes it only the second song in the chart's 68-year history to spend 20 weeks at the top, and the first non-holiday song to reach this milestone.

The track surpassed previous long-running number ones by Shaboozey and Lil Nas X, who both held the top spot for 19 weeks. The only song currently ahead of Langley is Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which has accumulated 22 weeks at number one through seasonal recurrences.

“Choosin’ Texas” is the lead single from Langley’s sophomore album, Dandelion, which also debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. This achievement makes Langley one of the few women to simultaneously hold the number one song and number one album on the charts.
