Ella Langley’s ‘Choosin’ Texas’ hits 17th week at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100

Ella Langley’s single “Choosin’ Texas” has spent its 17th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the fourth-longest reigning No. 1 hit in the chart's history. By reaching this milestone, the song has moved past Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men’s “One Sweet Day,” which held a 16-week streak for over two decades.

Langley’s track also leads the Hot Country Songs chart for its 35th week. While streaming numbers saw a slight decrease, the song experienced a 4% increase in radio audience impressions and a 9% surge in digital sales. The song’s crossover success is evidenced by its recent entry into the top 10 of the Billboard pop airplay chart.

Currently, “Choosin’ Texas” trails only three other songs for the all-time record: Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” and Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” which both spent 19 weeks at No. 1, and Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” which holds the record with 22 weeks.
