Ellen Pompeo to star in Hulu drama ‘Not a Sound’

Ellen Pompeo, widely known for her long-running role in ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, is set to star in a new Hulu drama series titled ‘Not a Sound’. The project is currently in development at Hulu through 20th Television and is produced by David E. Kelley Productions.

Based on the novel by Heather Gudenkauf, the series follows Amelia Winn, a disgraced emergency room nurse. After losing her hearing in a hit-and-run accident, Amelia and her service dog discover the body of a former colleague, leading her into a dangerous mystery that may reveal the truth behind her own accident.

The series features a creative team including writers Matthew Tinker and Annakate Chappell, with Azazel Jacobs attached to direct. Pompeo will also serve as an executive producer. This new role marks a departure from her iconic character, Dr. Meredith Grey, though she is expected to continue her involvement with ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ as it heads into its 23rd season.
