Elliot Page receives critical acclaim in Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’

The film adaptation of Homer’s epic, ‘The Odyssey’, directed by Christopher Nolan, has premiered in theaters. The production features Matt Damon as Odysseus and Anne Hathaway as Penelope, alongside an ensemble cast including Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya, and Charlize Theron.

Actor Elliot Page has received significant critical acclaim for his portrayal of the Greek soldier Sinon. Reviews from outlets such as Variety and RogerEbert.com have described his performance as ‘fundamental’ and ‘sublime’, noting that his role provides a compelling twist on the ‘naive child soldier’ trope. Despite previous controversy regarding the casting of a transgender actor in a mythological epic, director Christopher Nolan has dismissed such reactions as ‘irrelevant’.
