Elliot Stroud and Gabriel Vidović named in top 10 summer transfers

The Guardian has identified two transfers involving Croatian football connections as being among the top 10 summer deals.

Elliot Stroud, a 24-year-old Swedish international, joined Hull City from Mjällby for approximately £3.5 million (€4 million). Hull manager Sergej Jakirović praised Stroud as a versatile and hardworking player capable of playing as a full-back, wing-back, left winger, or in midfield. The move is highlighted as an excellent piece of business given the high spending levels of clubs entering the Premier League.

Additionally, Gabriel Vidović has moved from Dinamo Zagreb to Paderborn for €3 million. This transfer represents a club record for Paderborn. Vidović, who developed in the Bayern Munich academy, seeks to re-establish himself in German football following stints at Dinamo and a loan at Mainz.
