Ellis Rigby sentenced for vehicle thefts and fraud

Ellis Rigby, 24, has been sentenced following a series of thefts from parked vehicles and subsequent fraud. The defendant admitted to six counts of theft from motor vehicles, three counts of vehicle interference, and three counts of fraud by false representation.

Between June and August, Rigby targeted vehicles in Latchford, Stockton Heath, and Warrington to steal cash, designer wallets, and bank cards. He used the stolen cards to purchase food and scratchcards. Magistrates determined that the severity of the offences warranted a custodial sentence.
