Elly Schlein proposes Silvia Salis to unify center parties

Democratic Party leader Elly Schlein has proposed involving Silvia Salis, the mayor of Genoa, as a figure capable of federating center parties within the center-left coalition. This strategy aims to build a cohesive and recognizable political area.

While Salis has not officially confirmed any role as a federator, sources suggest she may consider the opportunity. The proposal has met with varied reactions from coalition leaders and reformist figures, highlighting the delicate power balance among various political factions. This development occurs as center-left parties prepare legal challenges against the new electoral law.
