Ellyse Perry reflects on career milestones and international cricket

Australian cricket star Ellyse Perry has reflected on her career following her seventh ICC Women’s T20 World Cup victory and her recent participation in The Hundred 2026. Perry, who finished as Australia’s second-highest run-scorer in the T20 World Cup with 198 runs, noted that the tournament felt like a significant step forward for the women’s game.

During her time with Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred, Perry was the team’s leading run-scorer with 223 runs, despite the side finishing seventh in the competition.

In recent interviews, Perry also praised Indian players Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur, citing Mandhana’s mental strength and skill, and Kaur’s tenacity as key attributes. Perry expressed that representing Australia remains her proudest achievement and welcomed the addition of the ICC Women’s Champions Trophy to the international schedule in 2027.
