Elämäntaival care home transitions to new ownership

The Elämäntaival care home in Riihimäki has transitioned to new ownership following the acquisition of Hoivakoti Elämänkaari Osakeyhtiö by the Tampere-based Agemo Group Oy, operating as Ikifit. The transfer of shares was completed in mid-August 2026.

Despite the change in ownership, the Kanta-Häme welfare area (Oma Häme) stated that daily life for residents will remain unaffected. The facility will maintain its current location, staff, and existing service agreements.

Oma Häme had previously placed the unit under enhanced supervision in early 2026 due to operational irregularities. During the sale negotiations, the welfare area maintained operations by appointing new local management and ensuring adequate staffing and resident safety. Ikifit, which already operates three residential units in Hämeenlinna, intends to support the existing staff at the new location.
