Elmo performs Lorne Michaels impersonation in SNL sketch

Sesame Street character Elmo debuted a deadpan impersonation of Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels in a collaborative comedy sketch. The video, shared by NBC, features a parody of the Studio 8H creative process, showing SNL cast members Mikey Day, Sarah Sherman, Ashley Padilla, and Kenan Thompson brainstorming ideas with Muppets including Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Abby Cadabby.

In the standout segment, Elmo wears a suit and adopts Michaels’ characteristic dry wit and halting cadence. Puppeteer Ryan Dillon provided the voice work for the impression, which has received significant praise on social media for its accuracy.
