Elon Musk predicts AI and robotics could double the global economy
Elon Musk has projected that the integration of artificial intelligence and robotics could more than double the global economy in less than a decade. He suggested that humanoid robots, such as Tesla’s Optimus, could eventually number one billion within ten years, providing significantly higher productivity than human workers by operating continuously without fatigue.
In a separate discussion regarding the evolution of software engineering, Musk described technology as the ‘most important advantage’ in warfare. This was in response to comments from John Carmack, CEO of Keen Technologies, who argued that traditional manual coding is becoming less essential. Carmack compared the shift to the evolution of martial arts, suggesting that hand-coding is transitioning from a practical necessity for survival to a specialized craft or discipline.
