SpaceX projected to surpass $10 trillion market value, analysts say
SpaceX’s market capitalisation rose to about $1.9 trillion after its record IPO, up from $1.7 trillion at launch. Analysts now forecast the company could exceed a $10 trillion valuation in the coming years. Morgan Stanley analyst Adam Jonas estimates Starship will conduct roughly 50 launches in 2027 and up to 6,000 by 2040, allowing the company to place up to 600 000 tonnes of payload in orbit each year. Achieving that cadence would require more than 200 Starships and around 8 000 engines. Ken Herbert of RBC highlighted SpaceX’s vertical integration, noting the firm manufactures roughly 90 % of its components in‑house, which could accelerate capacity growth. Herbert set a price target of $225 per share, while Jonas projected $300; the market consensus is a $242 target, implying a valuation near $3.2 trillion. Elon Musk has also suggested the firm could eventually be worth more than the rest of Earth’s economy if its long‑term goals are realised.
