Elon Musk’s net worth tops $1 trillion after Tesla and SpaceX stock surge
Shares of Tesla rose 8.6% and SpaceX climbed 7.6% on Monday, adding roughly $62 billion to Elon Musk’s personal fortune. The surge pushed his net worth back above the $1 trillion mark, restoring him as the world’s richest individual, ahead of Google co‑founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Musk’s holdings include about 4.8 billion SpaceX shares, roughly 700 million Tesla shares and 350 million Tesla options with an $8.40 exercise price. His wealth had briefly fallen below the trillion‑dollar threshold after a prior recalculation of Tesla stock compensation, but the recent rally reinstated the milestone. The previous all‑time high of $1.45 trillion was reached on 16 June.
