Elroy Morgan wins Damariscotta Pumpkinfest with record-breaking pumpkin

Elroy Morgan has secured a back-to-back victory at the Damariscotta Pumpkinfest, growing the largest pumpkin in Maine for 2026. His winning pumpkin weighed 1,847 pounds and measured 155.25 inches in length, setting a new Maine state record for length.

This year's entry was approximately 200 pounds heavier than Morgan's 2025 winning pumpkin, which weighed 1,624.5 pounds. While the 1,847-pound gourd narrowly missed the all-time top 10 list for the state, Morgan previously held the number 10 spot in 2021 with a weight of 1,870.5 pounds.
