Els Amics de Sant Magí de la Brufaganya receives BBVA Cultural Association Award

The association Els Amics de Sant Magí de la Brufaganya has been awarded the BBVA Award for Catalan Cultural Associationism as part of the IX Antoni Carné Awards. The recognition honors the group's efforts since 2009 to rehabilitate and dignify the Sant Magí de la Brufaganya sanctuary and its adjacent buildings.

Beyond physical restoration, the association focuses on cultural and social revitalization. Key initiatives include organizing the September Aplec, recovering the traditional melody of the Ball Pla de Sant Magí, and hosting the Nits Musicals de la Brufaganya classical music festival. The group also works to preserve the natural environment and historical memory of the site, which had faced significant decay following periods of depopulation and conflict.

The award ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Parliament of Catalonia, led by institutional representatives including the president of the Catalan Chamber and the Minister of Culture.
