Elsie Hewitt discusses strangers misgendering her daughter

Model Elsie Hewitt recently shared on TikTok that strangers frequently mistake her seven-month-old daughter, Scottie Rose, for a boy. Hewitt noted that people often greet the infant with phrases such as “Hello, young man” or “Hi, baby boy.”

Hewitt stated she is not offended by the frequent misgendering but finds it interesting that people often default to assuming a baby is male. She mentioned that while she uses pink bottles, she does not intentionally dress Scottie in traditionally feminine clothing.

Hewitt shares Scottie with Pete Davidson. The pair announced her pregnancy in July 2025 following a relationship that began in March of that year, though they have since transitioned into co-parenting after their split.
