Eltel Danmark wins nationwide road lighting contract

Eltel Danmark has secured a nationwide agreement to manage the operation and maintenance of approximately 34,000 lighting points for the Danish Road Directorate (Vejdirektoratet). Starting January 1, 2027, the company will be responsible for lighting along motorways and state roads across North Jutland, South Jutland, Funen, Zealand, and the surrounding islands.

The four-year contract, which includes an option for extension, marks a significant expansion for Eltel Danmark. The company previously operated as a regional provider with 15,500 lighting points in Eastern Denmark. Following this agreement and the recent acquisition of EWII’s street lighting business in Jutland, Eltel’s total portfolio will exceed 135,000 lighting points in operation.
