Elton John acquires controversial 9/11 photograph

Musician Elton John acquired a print of 'The Falling Man,' a controversial photograph taken by Richard Drew of the Associated Press during the September 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center. The image depicts an unidentified individual falling from the North Tower.

John spent two years working to add the print to his collection of nearly 8,000 famous photographs. He described the photograph as a beautiful image of a tragic historical event, comparing its importance to other iconic historical images.
