Elton John celebrates five years of “Cold Heart” with Dua Lipa

Elton John has marked the fifth anniversary of the “Cold Heart (PNAU Remix)” collaboration with Dua Lipa. The track, which debuted on August 13, 2021, as part of his album “The Lockdown Sessions,” has surpassed 5.3 billion streams across digital platforms.

The song, produced by the Australian trio PNAU, blends elements from several of John’s classic tracks, including “Sacrifice,” “Rocket Man,” “Kiss the Bride,” and “Where’s the Shoorah?” The collaboration led to a significant friendship between the two artists, characterized by joint performances at events such as the Oscars and the Royal Albert Hall.

In addition to its streaming success, “Cold Heart” achieved number one status in the United Kingdom and at least 15 other countries, including a 10-week run at the top of the Australian charts.
