Elton John expresses disappointment in Watford FC after 4-0 defeat

Sir Elton John has expressed his frustration regarding the recent decline of Watford FC following a 4-0 defeat against Burnley at Vicarage Road. The 79-year-old musician and former club chairman shared his disappointment on Instagram, stating, “As a lifetime supporter of Watford FC, I am very upset and disappointed at the decline over the past few weeks. I really feel for the other supporters who have to watch this.”

The loss marks Watford’s third consecutive defeat in the Championship and their fifth loss in six matches, leaving the club just one point above the relegation zone. Following the match, players were met with boos from the supporters.

Watford manager Alessio Dionisi apologized for the performance, noting dissatisfaction with both halves of the match and citing issues with team attitude and balance. He stated, “The problem now is the attitude, the team, the coach, everyone.”
