Elton John musical The Devil Wears Prada to premiere in Hamburg

The musical adaptation of the film classic ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ is set to make its German premiere at the Stage Theater Neue Flora in Hamburg on December 10. Following its successful run at London’s West End, the production features music composed by Elton John, with David Furnish serving as a producer.

The German cast includes Florence Kasumba, known for her role in ‘Black Panther’, as the formidable editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly. She is joined by Isabel Waltsgott as Andy Sachs, Alexandra-Yoana Alexandrova as Emily, and Elindo Avastia as Nigel.

Elton John expressed enthusiasm for the production and the German cast, specifically praising Kasumba as an ‘incredible actress, singer, and performer’ who will bring a unique presence to the iconic role.
