Elton John returns to Mexico for farewell concerts

British singer Elton John is returning to Mexico for two concerts at Estadio Banorte in Mexico City on October 2 and 3. These performances, part of his ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour’, mark his return to the capital after a 14-year absence.

To celebrate the return, free screenings of his 1995 ‘Elton en Río’ concert will be held in Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Zapopan. In Mexico City, the screening will take place at the Foro al Aire Libre of the Cineteca Nacional Chapultepec on September 30 and October 1. Guadalajara will host a screening at Sala Cineforo on September 30, and Zapopan will host one at the Cineteca Nacional UdeG on October 1. Access is free, though subject to availability.

The upcoming stadium shows are scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM, with doors opening at 5:00 PM. The setlist is expected to include approximately 23 songs, featuring classics such as ‘Rocket Man’, ‘Candle in the Wind’, and ‘Your Song’.
